Urotone is taken to treat certain disorders of the urinary tract or bladder. It helps to cause urination and emptying of the bladder. Urotone may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Urotone is available only with your doctor’s prescription.
Once a medicine has been approved for marketing for a certain use, experience may show that it is also useful for other medical problems. Although these uses are not included in product labeling, Urotone is used in certain patients with the following medical conditions:
Certain stomach problems
Gastroesophageal reflexux (caused by acid in the stomach washing back up into the esophagus)
Megacolon (an abnormally large or dilated colon)

Warnings: Do not take Urotone 25 Tablet 10's if you are allergic to any contents of it. Before taking Urotone 25 Tablet 10's, inform your doctor if you had recent surgeries, stomach or intestinal ulcers, bladder obstruction, peritonitis (infection of the stomach lining), or inflammatory bowel disease (inflammation of the digestive tract). Use of Urotone 25 Tablet 10's in the above illnesses may worsen the condition. Urotone 25 Tablet 10's may cause atrial fibrillation (heart rhythm problems) in patients with hyperthyroidism (overActive thyroid). Urotone 25 Tablet 10's may flare-up the symptoms when used in patients with lung diseases such as asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD) as it can constrict the airways. Do not use Urotone 25 Tablet 10's in patients with heart diseases, hypotension (low blood pressure), bradycardia (low heart rate), seizures, and Parkinson’s disease. Do not consume alcohol as it can increase dizziness. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. To avoid dizziness from this medicine, stand up slowly from a sitting or lying position.
Medicine Interaction: Urotone 25 Tablet 10's effectiveness may alter when used with other cholinergic or anticholinergic drugs and antihypertensive drugs (mecamylamine and trimethaphan).
Side Effects: Side effects, stop taking Urotone and seek emergency medical attention: an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing, closing of your throat, swelling of your lips, tongue, or face or hives) or shortness of breath, wheezing, or tightness in your chest. Other, less serious side effects may be more likely to occur. Continue to take Urotone and talk to your doctor if you experience dizziness or drowsiness, headache, Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or abdominal discomfort, slow heartbeats followed by fast heartbeats, flushing or warmth about the face, sweating or tearing eyes.
How to Store it: Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 C. Protect from light and moisture.
