Taxim Injection is used to treat bacterial infections in many different parts of the body. Taxim is also given before, during, and after certain types of surgery to prevent infections.
Taxim Injection belongs to the class of medicines known as cephalosporin antibiotics. It works by killing bacteria or preventing their growth. However, Taxim will not work for colds, flu, or other virus infections.
Taxim is to be given only by or under the supervision of your doctor.

Warnings: After taking TAXIM INJECTION 1GM if you have allergy-like symptoms including rash, swelling of the face/lips/throat, difficulty in breathing, or tightness in the chest, immediately contact your doctor. Do not take TAXIM INJECTION 1GM if you have an allergy to TAXIM INJECTION 1GM, cephalosporins penicillin class of antibiotics as it may cause a skin rash, itching, and difficulty in breathing. People having liver disease or jaundice (yellowing of skin/eye) should not take TAXIM INJECTION 1GM, as it can damage your liver severely. You may have diarrhea in some cases which can be managed by taking it with any probiotics and plenty of fluids.
Medicine Interaction: TAXIM INJECTION 1GM may enhance the nephrotoxic effect of aminoglycosides (amikacin).

Side Effects: Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

sores, ulcers, or white spots on the lips or in the mouth
swollen glands
tenderness
tightness in the chest
unusual bleeding or bruising
unusual tiredness or weakness
unusual weight loss
