Cetzine is an antihistamine that reduces the effects of natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine can produce symptoms of sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose.
Cetzine is used to treat cold or allergy symptoms such as sneezing, itching, watery eyes, or runny nose.
Cetzine is also used to treat itching and swelling caused by chronic urticaria (hives).

Warnings: Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding. If you become pregnant while taking Cetzine Tablet 10's, consult your doctor. If you have kidney problems, dose adjustment might be required; the doctor will do it depending upon your disease's condition. Please inform your doctor if you have a problem passing urine and have epilepsy (fits) before starting Cetzine Tablet 10's. If you are supposed to undergo skin testing, the doctor might advise you to stop taking Cetzine Tablet 10's 72 hours before the test as it decreases response to skin prick test. Patients should be cautioned against getting engaged in the work which required too much mental alertness like operating machinery or driving a motor vehicle after intake of Cetzine Tablet 10's. Concurrent use of Cetzine Tablet 10's with alcohol or other antidepressants should be avoided as it can reduce your mental alertness. The daily dose in adults and children 12 years of age and older should not take more than 5 mg once daily. Besides this, in children 6-11 years of age, the recommended dose is 2.5 mg once daily. Patients should avoid taking over dosage of Cetzine Tablet 10's because of the increased risk of sleepiness and drowsiness at higher doses.
Medicine Interaction: Cetzine Tablet 10's have interactions with pain killer (antipyrine), antibiotics (azithromycin, erythromycin), antacid (cimetidine), anti-fungal (ketoconazole), respiratory disease medicine (theophylline), and decongestant (pseudoephedrine), anti-viral or anti HIV drugs (ritonavir).

Side Effects: Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Rare:- Acid or sour stomach, belching, burning, crawling, itching, numbness, prickling, "pins and needles", or tingling feelings, change or loss of taste, feeling hot, headache, heartburn, increased sweating, indigestion, stomach discomfort, upset, or pain, Incidence not known.
Bleeding, blistering, burning, coldness, discoloration of the skin, feeling of pressure, hives, infection, inflammation, itching, lumps, numbness, pain, rash, redness, scarring, soreness, stinging, swelling, tenderness, tingling, ulceration, or warmth at the Injection site.
Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.
