Congestyl Tablet is a medication utilized in the treatment of common cold symptoms. It provides relief from symptoms such as headache, sore throat, runny nose, muscular pain, and fever.
This medication may be taken with or without food preferably one hour before you travel. Take it in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. But, before taking it, inform doctor if you are suffering from depression and taking its medications.
Dizziness may occur as its side effect, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus. You should avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medication, as it may cause excessive sleepiness.
Pregnancy Interaction: Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Congestyl 4mg/500mg/5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.Take it with food if stomach upset occurs.

Breast Feeding Interaction: Congestyl 4mg/500mg/5mg Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Chlorpheniramine, paracetamol and phenylephrine which relieve cold symptoms. Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). It blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that are responsible for pain and fever. Phenylephrine is a nasal decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose.
