Altraday capsule is a combination medicine used for the treatment of fever, pain and inflammation associated with joints and muscle spasm. It is used in moderate to severe pain relief, treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, spondylitis, osteoarthritis and in conditions such as headaches, body aches, tooth aches, menstrual pain and common cold. The capsule effectively relieves muscle stiffness, thereby improving muscle movement. However, the uses mentioned here are not comprehensive, there may be other conditions for which the medication may be used upon your doctor’s discretion.

Warnings: Do not take Altraday Capsule 10's if you are allergic to Altraday Capsule 10's, have severe heart failure, suffered bleeding problems (such as bleeding from the stomach or bowels while taking any pain killers) or liver or kidney problems, have suffered bleeding problems and clotting problems. Inform your doctor before taking Altraday Capsule 10's if you have or had disorders of the stomach, blood circulation problem to the brain, asthma, porphyria (a disorder in the formation of red blood pigment), diabetes, high blood pressure, systemic lupus erythematosus (an autoimmune condition that causes joint pain, fever and skin rashes), colitis or Crohn’s disease (conditions causing swelling of the bowel, diarrhoea, bowel pain, vomiting and weight loss); if you are recovering from major surgery or if you are elderly. Do not take Altraday Capsule 10's if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed. Altraday Capsule 10's contains Aceclofenac which should not be used during the last three months of pregnancy. Altraday Capsule 10's may be excreted in breastmilk. Therefore, avoid breastfeeding and consult a doctor. Altraday Capsule 10's should not be given to children as safety has not been established. Altraday Capsule 10's can cause drowsiness and dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Altraday Capsule 10's as it could lead to increased drowsiness and may increase the risk of stomach bleeding. Do not take any other for pain relief along with Altraday Capsule 10's unless prescribed. Prolonged intake of PPIs or proton pump inhibitors like Rabeprazole may cause brittle bones so intake of Vitamin D and calcium can be additionally given by your doctor while using Altraday Capsule 10's.
Medicine Interaction: Altraday Capsule 10's interact with other painkillers (aspirin, ibuprofen, acetaminophen, oxycodone, tramadol, naproxen, celecoxib, etoricoxib), blood thinners (clopidogrel, heparin, warfarin), medicines used to treat heart diseases (digoxin), diuretics (furosemide, amiloride), antibiotics (ciprofloxacin, norfloxacin, moxifloxacin, ciprofloxacin, ofloxacin, levofloxacin), antihypertensive (enalapril, valsartan, telmisartan, losartan, candesartan, propranolol, enalapril, lisinopril, methyldopa, clonidine, moxonidine), antidiabetics (glibenclamide, gliclazide, tolbutamide), antidepressants (fluvoxamine, paroxetine, citalopram, escitalopram, sertraline, fluoxetine), steroids (hydrocortisone, prednisolone), immunosuppressants (ciclosporin, tacrolimus), anti-HIV (zidovudine).
Drug Schedule: Schedule H Prescription Drug
Side Effects: Body spasm, with head and heels bent backward and body bowed forward convulsions (seizures), depression, shakiness or tremors, skin rash, sore throat or fever, unusual tiredness, vomiting (severe or continuing), yellow eyes or skin.
How to Store it: Store at temperature not exceeding 25C. protected from light and moisture.
Over Dose: When a dose is taken in higher dose than the recommended doses, it is called Overdose. Overdose always needs a clinical supervision. Any medicine or drug when consumed in Overdose produces untoward side effects on one or various organs in the body. A medicine is excreted in the kidney or metabolized in the liver most of the times. This process goes without any hurdles when taken in normal dose, but when taken in an overdose, the body is not able to metabolize it or send it out properly which causes the effects of anoverdose.
Precautions: Before using Altraday Capsule, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side-effects of the drug. Take as directed by your doctor or follow the direction printed on the product insert. Dosage is based on your condition. Tell your doctor if your condition persists or worsens. Important counseling points are listed below. Avoid driving and operate dangerous machinery, Gastro-intestinal disorders, Helps treat GERD or reflexux, History of gastroulceration, May increase risk for lupus, May increase risk for osteoporosis, Notify doctor if taking atazanavir, nelfinavir, or rilpivirine, Patients recovering after a surgery, Severe cardiac impairment, Severe hepatic impairment.
Missed Dose: In case you miss a dose, use it as soon as you notice. If it is close to the time of your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your dosing schedule. Do not use extra dose to make up for a missed dose. If you are regularly missing doses, consider setting an alarm or asking a family member to remind you. Please consult your doctor to discuss changes in your dosing schedule or a new schedule to make up for missed doses, if you have missed too many doses recently.
