AUGMED DRY SYRUP is a combination of Amoxycillin and Clavulanic acid. AUGMED DRY SYRUP is used orally to treat many bacterial infections of the lungs, middle ear, sinuses, skin, teeth, and urinary tract. Amoxycillin interferes with the growth and division process of the bacterial cell wall while Clavulanic acid enhances the activity of Amoxycillin against bacteria. The common side effects of AUGMED DRY SYRUP use are nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, and skin rash. Consult your child’s doctor at the earliest if any of these side effects persist or worsen. Before giving this medicine to your child, inform your doctor if your child is allergic to any antibiotics or has experienced any allergic reactions after taking antibiotics.

Breast Feeding Interaction: Augmed 200mg/28.5mg Dry Syrup is a combination of two medicines: Amoxicillin and Clavulanic Acid. Amoxicillin is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which blocks the action of enzymes produced by bacteria to inactivate amoxicillin. Addition of Clavulanic Acid reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Amoxicillin against bacteria.
