Xtor is in a group of drugs called HMG CoA reductase inhibitors, or “statins.” Xtor reduces levels of “bad” cholesterol (low-density lipoprotein, or LDL) and triglycerides in the blood, while increasing levels of “good” cholesterol (high-density lipoprotein, or HDL).
Xtor is used to treat high cholesterol, and to lower the risk of stroke, heart attack, or other heart complications in people with type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease, or other risk factors.
Xtor is used in adults and children who are at least 10 years old.

Warnings: Tell your doctor if you have ever had any unusual or allergic reaction to this medicine or any other medicines. You should contact a doctor before if you have liver or kidney problems, severe lung disease. If you have a muscle problem, inform your doctor. Do not take this Xtor 80 Tablet 10's if you have a previous heart attack or stroke caused by bleeding in the brain, have hypothyroidism, drink more than 2 servings of alcohol per day, and have a muscle disorder (fibromyalgia). The efficiency of Xtor 80 Tablet 10's can be increased by taking low fat or cholesterol-containing food and drinks. Xtor 80 Tablet 10's is not safe for children as safety and efficacy of Xtor 80 Tablet 10's in children have not established. Xtor 80 Tablet 10's has Ezetimibe which contains a sugar called lactose. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, talk to your doctor before taking this Xtor 80 Tablet 10's. If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, then immediately inform your doctor because Xtor 80 Tablet 10's contains Atorvastatin that may harm an unborn baby. If you are a breastfeeding mother, then immediately contact your doctor as it is unknown if this Xtor 80 Tablet 10's passes into breast milk.
Medicine Interaction: If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Xtor 80 Tablet may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Xtor 80 Tablet may interact with the following drugs and products:
Antacids

Azole antifungals
Colchicine
Cyclosporine
Diltiazem
Grapefruit
Macrolide antibiotics
Niacin
Protease inhibitors

Side Effects: Signs of an allergic reaction to Xtor: hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
In rare cases, Xtor can cause a condition that results in the breakdown of skeletal muscle tissue, leading to kidney failure. Call your doctor right away if you have unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness especially if you also have fever, unusual tiredness, and dark colored urine.
Also call your doctor at once if you have:
kidney problems - little or no urinating, painful or difficult urination, swelling in your feet or ankles, feeling tired or short of breath,
liver problems - Nausea, upper stomach pain, itching, tired feeling, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes) or
signs of a stroke - sudden numbness or weakness (especially on one side of the body), sudden severe headache, slurred speech, problems with vision or balance.
Common Xtor side effects may include:
