Atz 50mg Tablet belongs to the therapeutic classification of Immunosuppressants, Antirheumatics and DMARDs. The primary composition for this medicine is Azathioprine 50 MG.

Warnings: Do not take ATZ 50 Tablet 10's if you are allergic to any immunosuppressant medicines or Azathioprine. Let your doctor know before using ATZ 50 Tablet 10's if you have liver or kidney problems, serious blood disorders, immune system problems, bone marrow problems, serious infections, immunodeficiency syndrome, or if you have a condition where your body produces too little of a natural chemical called thiopurine methyltransferase (TPMT), received any vaccinations. Do not take ATZ 50 Tablet 10's if you are pregnant or planning for pregnancy as ATZ 50 Tablet 10's is a Pregnancy category risk D medicines which can cause serious congenital disabilities to the unborn baby. ATZ 50 Tablet 10's should not be taken by breastfeeding mothers as it passes into breast milk. While taking ATZ 50 Tablet 10's, do not contact anyone who has shingles, chickenpox, or measles. If you accidentally come in contact with any person having them, please inform your doctor immediately as it requires special treatment if you have not had these illnesses. ATZ 50 Tablet 10's causes dizziness and drowsiness, so drive with caution. ATZ 50 Tablet 10's should not be given to children as safety and efficacy have not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol along with ATZ 50 Tablet 10's as it could lead to increased dizziness. Your doctor may advise you to undergo regular blood tests, kidney and liver tests to monitor your condition. Using ATZ 50 Tablet 10's for a long time can increase your chance of getting certain types of cancer, such as lymphoma (cancer of the spleen, thymus gland, and bone marrow), leukaemia (blood cancer), and skin cancer. Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight, wear protective clothing, and use protective sunscreen with a high protection factor while using ATZ 50 Tablet 10's.
Medicine Interaction: If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of ATZ 50 Tablet may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. ATZ 50 Tablet may interact with the following drugs and products: Allopurinol Aminosalicylates Angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors Co-trimoxazole Ribavirin Warfarin

Side Effects: Chance of getting an infection. Wash hands often. Stay away from people with infections, colds, or flu. Low white blood cell count or low platelet count. Chills. Upset stomach or throwing up. Many small meals, good mouth care, sucking hard, sugar-free candy, or chewing sugar-free gum may help.
