Zathripol injection is used to treat bacterial infections in many different parts of the body. It is also used to prevent Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) disease in patients infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
Zathripol belongs to the class of drugs known as macrolide antibiotics. It works by killing bacteria or preventing their growth. However, Zathripol will not work for colds, flu, or other virus infections. Zathripol injection may be used for other problems as determined by your doctor.
Pregnancy Interaction: Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Zathripol 500mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
