Bricacef Ped Dry Syrup 30 ml belongs to the group of medicines called antibiotics used to treat various bacterial infections such as pharyngitis/tonsillitis (throat infections), otitis media (ear infections), sinusitis (infection of the sinuses), community-acquired pneumonia, gonorrhoea (sexually transmitted disease), anorectal infections in women, skin, and urinary tract infections. Bacterial infections are caused due to the multiplication of harmful bacteria inside or on the body. Infectious or harmful bacteria can make you sick and reproduce quickly in your body. These harmful bacteria produce chemicals known as toxins, which can damage tissue and make you sick. Bricacef Ped Dry Syrup 30 ml does not work against infections caused by the virus, including cold and flu.
Pregnancy Interaction: Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Dissolve the powder in sterile water. Shake well and use. Breast Feeding Interaction: BRICACEF PAED 50mg/31.25mg DRY SYRUP is a combination of two medicines: Cefpodoxime and Clavulanic Acid. Cefpodoxime is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefpodoxime against bacteria.
