Calcirol belongs to the therapeutic classification of Vitamin Supplements. The primary composition for this medicine is Cholecalciferol 60000 IU.

Warnings: Tell your doctor if you are allergic to Calcirol Sachet 1gm. Chewable or dissolving tablets of Calcirol Sachet 1gm may contain sugar or aspartame, hence caution should be taken in diabetes and phenylketonuria (increased levels of an amino acid called phenylalanine). Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking Calcirol Sachet 1gm. Higher doses of Vitamin D than the recommended daily dose should be used in pregnant women only when advised by the doctor. Calcirol Sachet 1gm passes into the breast milk, hence breastfeeding mothers need to seek medical advice before starting Calcirol Sachet 1gm. Calcirol Sachet 1gm is safe to use in children when prescribed by the doctor. Calcirol Sachet 1gm should be used with caution in hypercalcemia, hyperparathyroidism, renal impairment, electrolyte imbalance, heart diseases, kidney stones and hypervitaminosis D (having too much vitamin D).
Medicine Interaction: If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Calcirol Granules Sachet may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Calcirol Granules Sachet may interact with the following drugs and products: Barbiturates Calcium Cardiac Glycosides Cholestyramine Glucocorticoids Laxatives Other vitamins Phenytoin Rifampicin Thiazide diuretics
