Nexovas (INN) is a calcium channel blocker. Nexovas is the novel calcium antagonist accompanied with L-type and N-type calcium channel blocking function. It was jointly developed by Fuji Viscera Pharmaceutical Company, Japan and Ajinomoto, Japan and approved to come into market for the first time and used for high blood pressure treatment in 1995. Compared with other calcium antagonists, Nexovas can act on the N-type calcium channel that existing sympathetic nerve end besides acting on L-type calcium channel that similar to most of the calcium antagonists. Nexovas is approved for use in Japan, China,India, Korea and some European countries.
Warnings: Nexovas 10 Tablet should be taken with caution in patients with chest pain (angina), congestive heart failure, liver disease, peripheral oedema (swelling of hands/legs). You should monitor your blood pressure regularly to make sure the Nexovas 10 Tablet is working efficiently. Besides this prolonged intake of Nexovas 10 Tablet can lead to lowering of blood pressure (hypotension). So, daily monitoring of blood pressure is advisable.
Medicine Interaction: If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Nexovas 10 Tablet may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly.
