Cinod (INN) is a calcium channel blocker. Cinod is the novel calcium antagonist accompanied with L-type and N-type calcium channel blocking function. It was jointly developed by Fuji Viscera Pharmaceutical Company, Japan and Ajinomoto, Japan and approved to come into market for the first time and used for high blood pressure treatment in 1995. Compared with other calcium antagonists, Cinod can act on the N-type calcium channel that existing sympathetic nerve end besides acting on L-type calcium channel that similar to most of the calcium antagonists. Cinod is approved for use in Japan, China,India, Korea and some European countries.

Warnings: Cinod 20Mg Tablet 20'S should be taken with caution in patients with chest pain (angina), congestive heart failure, liver disease, peripheral oedema (swelling of hands/legs). You should monitor your blood pressure regularly to make sure the Cinod 20Mg Tablet 20'S is working efficiently. Besides this prolonged intake of Cinod 20Mg Tablet 20'S can lead to lowering of blood pressure (hypotension). So, daily monitoring of blood pressure is advisable.
Medicine Interaction: Cinod 20Mg Tablet 20'S is known to interact when taken with an antiarrhythmic agent (quinidine), antiepileptic medicine (phenytoin) anti TB drug (rifampicin), antibiotics (erythromycin), other blood pressure-lowering pills (amlodipine) and antipsychotic drugs.
