Cintapro Tablet is used for Treatment of delayed gastric emptying, Treatment of functional dyspepsia, Functional dyspepsia, Gastric emptying and other conditions. Cintapro Tablet may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Cintapro Tablet contains Cinitapride as an Active ingredient.
Cintapro Tablet works by acting as an agonist at 5HT4 serotonergic receptor, as an antagonist at 5HT2 serotonergic and D2 dopaminergic receptor.

Warnings: Do not take Cintapro Tablet 10's if you are allergic to any of its contents. Inform your doctor before taking Cintapro Tablet 10's if you have a history of gastrointestinal bleeding, mechanical perforation/obstruction, or movement disorder. Do not take Cintapro Tablet 10's if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed by the doctor. Cintapro Tablet 10's causes drowsiness, so drive only if you are alert. Cintapro Tablet 10's should not be given to children as the safety have not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Cintapro Tablet 10's as it could lead to increased drowsiness and can elevate the production of stomach acid. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and medicines to rule out any side-effects.
Medicine Interaction: Cintapro Tablet 10's may have interaction with phenothiazine (used to treat motion sickness), digoxin (used to treat heart failure), anti-dopaminergic drugs (used to treat schizophrenia), anticholinergic drugs (used to treat overActive bladder and COPD) and opioid analgesics (used to relieve pain).
