Which Are The Top Suppository Manufacturer In India?

By: March 21, 2022

A suppository is a solid dosage form that is inserted into the rectum, vagina, or urethra, where it melts or dissolves and exerts local or systemic effects. Suppositories are utilized to supply medications that act both systemically and locally.

A suppository is another excellent way to deliver a drug. It’s a tiny, round, or cone-shaped component that you put in your body, usually into your bottom. Once it’s inside your body, it just melts or dissolves and releases its medication. Suppositories might not be the most delightful product you’ll ever use.

Types of Suppository Packing

Being a leading Indian Manufacturers of suppositories and Suppliers, we offer the following suppository packaging to our clients across the globe:

Blister Packing

This is the most commonly utilized blister pack available widely all over the world. The packing material we utilize is PVC film laminated with PE or ALU film laminated with PE. Generally, the blister pack includes five suppositories, and such blisters are again packed into a carton with two blisters each. Such 10 cartons are packed in shrink sleeves, and 30 to 40 shrinks are packaged in a master corrugated shipper for 3 gm, 2 gm, and 1 gm, individually.

Therefore, each master shipper consists of 3000 suppositories of 3 gm / 2 gm or 300 cartons of 2×5’s pack and 400 cartons of 2×5’s or 4000 each of 1 gm suppositories.

The blister pack is made using a fully automated FFS (form, fill, and seal) machine, offers production speed, and is appropriate for large orders. The blisters are pierced to remove each individual suppository with utmost ease. However, being a reputed suppository exporter and manufacturer, we can supply different packing configurations as per the client’s specific requirements.

Strip Packing

Pouch-type strip packing includes five suppositories. These strips are four-ply materials [aluminum + poly + poly + paper (inner layer-poly and extreme outer layer-paper)]. Further, these strips are packed into a carton that has two strips each. Such 200 cartons are then at last packed into a master corrugated shipper. Therefore, each master shipper has 400 strips or 2000 suppositories. Strip packing is suitable in the case of small volume orders.

Bottle Packing

Plastic bottles contain 15 suppositories of 2 gm (medium size), 10 suppositories of 3 gm (big size), or 20 to 30 suppositories of 1 gm (small size). Such bottles are additionally packed into an inner e-flute carton which contains 12 bottles each. Aluminum taggers seal these bottles.

Such 12 e-flute cartons are at last packed into a master corrugated shipper.

Consequently, each master shipper contains 144 bottles. Bottle packing is suitable for regular use products and in case of bulk packing requirements. We can provide bottles with a larger quantity of suppositories, up to 100 per bottle, per the client’s specific requirements.

Sizes of Suppository

  • Big size: average weight of 3.00 grams
  • Medium size: average weight of 2.00 grams
  • Small size: average weight of 1.00 gram

The size is defined by the active pharmaceutical ingredients (API)’s quantity which is available in each suppository.
